Bep Voskuijl - July 16, 1943

A few burglars decided to break into the warehouse. This was just terrible. When Peter took a visit to the warehouse, the warehouse door and the door to the street were slightly open. The burglars used a crowbar to break into the outer door. I'm guessing that since they stole two cash boxes with 40 florins, postal orders and checkbooks, all the coupons for the sugar, they didn't find anything of value to them. It caused a bit of a commotion but at least the typewriters and money in everyone's wardrobe were safe and sound. Everyone has been very nervous since the burglary. Dussel thinks that the bugler might try to make a deal with the Green Police to tell them where the family is hiding. Everyone is very edgy and paranoid these days.
